Zionism is not racism. I call on the Green Party to reverse its "Zionism is Racism" motion.

I was absolutely appalled by this motion. The Green Party leadership is a disgrace and has badly let down their members and supporters. Most of whom are honest, decent people who just want to make this world a better place, hold no ill feeling towards the Jewish community, and are equally appalled by this. They must reverse this motion and apologise immediately to preserve any lingering credibility or respect for their party and membership.
They have put their name to it, so there is no need to email them asking. Ask the other councillors on Chorley Borough Council instead.

What is the Green Party's "Zionism is Racism" motion?
On 4 October 2026 the Green Party of England and Wales passed a motion declaring that "Zionism is racism". It brands as racism the belief, held by around nine in ten British Jews, that the Jewish people have the right to a homeland of their own, and binds the party to treat that belief "as any other form of racism". Councillors and MPs of every other party are being asked to say, in public, that Zionism is not racism.
